Carlton Edwards is an enrolled member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. Carlton is Thatada Turtle clan and his Umon Hon name is Kein Zhinga. Carlton received his Master of Arts in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona. He is the Division Head of Native American Studies at the Nebraska Indian Community College. He served on the Omaha Tribal Council from 2019-2022.
