Amanda Rouse is an enrolled member of the Yankton Sioux tribe in South Dakota and serves as Secretary of Tatanka Oyate Preservation Society. She also owns and operates her small business, Ocean's Design, creating handmade Indigenous jewelry. Most of her artwork reflects both her Ihanktonwan Dakota/Nakota tribe and Okinawan culture.
